Certified Supervisor of Peer Recovery – Peer Recovery (CSPR-PR)

ICAADA Certified Supervisor of Peer Recovery – Peer Recovery is a credential for recovery support professionals who wish to show their competencies related to providing effective and ethical peer recovery support supervision. These competencies include:

Requirements to earn your CSPR-PR credential

Experience

  • Professional Experience:
    • 4000 supervised experience hours in Substance Use/Mental Health Services
  • Supervisory Experience:
    • 300 hours supervised experience in Leadership/Supervisory Role Of Peer Recovery Support

Education

  • Currently credentialed as a CAPRC II or other nationally recognized Peer Recovery Credential
    • CAPRC II
    • NCPRSS (NAADAC)
    • NCPS (Mental Health America)
    • ICPR
  • 30 hours of an approved Peer Recovery Support Training, 16 HOURS of Peer Recovery Ethics, 6 hours HIV/STI, 14 hours of Peer Recovery Supervision Training, and 85 hours of additional training in Addiction/Mental Health Education

Examination

Code of ethics

  • Applicant must read and sign ICAADA Peer Recovery Supervisor code of ethics

Residency Requirement

  • - Applicant must live or work 51% of the time in Indiana

Professional References:

  • Must provide three professional references

Recertification

  • 40 hours of related Continuing Education every two years, including 6 hours in Ethics and 6 hours in Peer Supervision
