At long last, the Indianapolis Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA) has posted the application for those wishing to be certified as either a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) or a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC).  In addition to the completed application and forms at this link: http://www.in.gov/pla/3050.htm you must also complete a request for verification of your certification through ICAADA.  The verification must come directly from the ICAADA office; copies of your certification and membership will not suffice.

Please make sure your certification and membership with ICAADA is current, and complete the online request form.  There will be a $20.00 service fee for verification services.  You will be notified once the verification has been mailed to IPLA, so please insure that you have already submitted your application for licensure before requesting verification.

Questions about the licensure process should be directed to the IPLA, again, through their web link at http://www.in.gov/pla/3050.htm .  Licensure is a function of the state of Indiana.  We are happy to answer questions about your certification, but cannot answer direct licensure questions.  Thanks!
